A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Kenia and Tony. After shooting their amazing engagement session in Laguna Beach, I was definitely looking forward to sharing their big day with them. Their ceremony was touching and romantic, and it was easy to see how much in love they were!
It was also super fun to discover this little gem of a venue: the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. It’s not far from the freeway, but entering it feels almost like entering a little wine country! It offers Spanish styled architecture with indoor and outdoor space, with rolling hills in the background and pretty trellis’d walkways. It was a charming location, perfect against Kenia’s choice of pink and deep purple!

Right before the ceremony, a card was delivered to Kenia from the groom, Tony. I won’t divulge what the card said, but the sweet gesture was enough to send the bride–who just had her make-up finished!–into a brief moment of happy tears.
All prettied up, the Kenia and her bridesmaids give the camera a shake of their bouquets before the ceremony starts.
This smart kid kept his sippy cup close on this warm day while he earnestly soaked in the ceremony!

Last weekend was Labor Day, marking the end of summer…already. How quickly it comes and goes! So for my latest styled engagement session I chose Laguna Beach as the location, and added a twist of boho chic as a nod to this artsy and beautiful little town’s mild summers and easy-going style.
Special thanks to Janet and Isaac for being willing to let me dress them up and model for this creative session! It was super fun to hang out in little hidden Laguna neighborhoods with this laid-back couple, shooting pictures when we found cute spots.
As a side note, I’ll be shooting their upcoming fall wedding in Philly, so stay tuned to see the pics from that event. I know it’s going to be awesome!
Clothing: Urban Outfitters
A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of photographing the lovely Linda and her handsome fiance Patrick for their sunset engagement session. Seeing as how they will be married at the Ritz-Carlton in Laguna Niguel in just a few short months, we decided to take advantage of the beautiful settings as a “preview” to the wedding pictures! Linda looked fantastic with a soft smoky eye and a red lip (thanks to my friend and awesome make-up artist, Kimberly Bragalone), and her fluttery blue dress was perfect for the 30′s inspired feel we wanted to get.
This was my first time visiting the Ritz, and after seeing just a little bit of it, I can’t wait to shoot more for Linda and Patrick’s wedding!
