The Long Beach Museum of Art is definitely one of my favorite venues. Small and intimate, historic and classy, this place has a great view of the water and their in-house restaurant caters delicious food! Jennifer and Ryan had a beautiful wedding here in March, and it was great to be part of the wedding of this fun and in-love couple!

Congratulations to Deborah and Phil, who tied the knot a few weeks ago in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina at The Stockroom! Their simple but sweet wedding was full of friends, family, and good food. Breakfast at Tiffany’s…the original urban romance with totally irresistible style. To say this engagement shoot for Angela and Yee was fun would be an understatement. Out here on the west coast, however, we switched it to San Francisco instead of New York City, and started the session off at Tiffany Co. in Union Square, complete with pastries from La Boulange. And no Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed engagement shoot is complete without a few animal masks! We had a great time finding cute corners and artsy alleyways in this beautiful city, going from a glam’d up look and finishing off with casual streets shots. Congratulations, Angela and Yee…looking forward to shooting your wedding later this summer!

Carnegie Institute of Science Wedding: Andrea and Chris

The wedding of Andrea and Chris Byrd on February 19 was simply one of those events where pictures tell a bigger story than words. We started at the Donovan Hotel in downtown Washington DC where the bridal party got ready for the big day, then headed to the beautiful Carnegie Institute of Science for the wedding ceremony and reception. A jazz band livened the evening and the guests that came to celebrate with this beautiful couple. Congratulations, Andrea and Chris!

Orange County Children’s Photographer: Here’s Zoe!

This year is starting off with lots of families and kids, which is a refreshing change for me as I wind down from last year’s flurry of weddings. And it’s always great fun to shoot kids who LOVE being in front of the camera, and Zoe was no exception. Special thanks to Zoe’s mother for providing such a fun and colorful variety of clothes for us to mix and match! We ended up having a nice range of outfits, all of which Zoe rocked!

Hey everyone! I’m so excited (and slightly shy) to share this post with you, because it’s pictures of me and my husband and our dogs…yep, I have featured myself in a post! What can I say. It’s been almost 7 years since Jason and I had professional photos taken, which in my book is Way. Too. Long.

And if you see my husband, tell him how awesome he was to oblige me in this shoot! It may not have been HIS idea of a lovely Sunday afternoon, but I think in the end he had to admit he cleaned up pretty well. He might even tell you that he had fun.

Downtown San Juan Capistrano, with it’s historic neighborhoods and train depot, is always such a fun and colorful place to shoot. I had a great time with the Prims there a few weeks ago. I’ve known Joe for several years, and his family as well, so it was a great pleasure to meet his kids. And what incredible looking eyes those kids have!
